The latest iteration to join the popular New Balance 550 line up is a clean ‘White/Grey’ colorway. Sticking to the two-tone color blocking that the silhouette often sports, the darker shade accentuates details such as the puffy ‘N’ logos, tongue labels, ankle and outsole. White then fills in the rest, taking over the mix of smooth and perforated leather panels along with the midsoles.

NIKE DUNK LOW 'JACKIE ROBINSON'
In celebration of the MLB All-Star Game, Nike reflects on the legacy of Jackie Robinson - a baseball player who broke color boundaries in the sport and continued his philanthropy off the field- in a special edition Dunk Low.
The uppers begin with a cream suede base and bright blue leather overlays, which are decorated with one of Robinson’s most iconic quotes “I’m not concerned with your liking or disliking me...All I ask is that you respect me as a human being.” Finishing details include the 75-year anniversary emblem on the tongue, recognizing the year when he broke baseball’s color line for the Dodgers organization, his #42 that has since been retired in his honor and lastly, baseball-stitched laces to tie it all back to the sport.

The New Balance 550 gained momentum from its collaborative release with Aimé Leon Dore and while the newest colorways come without the New York-based brand's mark, the understated vintage aesthetic lives on. Here, the basketball silhouette opts for creamy off-white hues for its smooth leather uppers, perforated overlays and nylon tongue. Hits of black are added to the puffed 'N' logo's, heel branding, collar and outsole to complete the design.

AIR JORDAN 4 RETRO 'MILITARY BLACK'
Sporting a blocking scheme identical to that of the infamous 1989 'Military Blue' pair, these Air Jordan 4 Retro's offer a clean monochromatic addition to any Summer rotation. The White tumbled leather base remains untouched, while stark Black replaces the former's Blue hits on the waffle eyelets, tongue branding, heel clip and midsole. In April 2021, Aimé Leon Dore’s founder Teddy Santis was appointed as the creative director of New Balance’s ‘Made in USA’ range and now, his debut collection has finally surfaced. The new 990v3 ditches the usual suede overlays for premium leather atop the mesh base, opting for a tonal off-white 'Sea Salt' makeup enhanced by ‘Rain Cloud’ grey and reflective accents. Despite its vintage look, the yellowed soles provide modern comfort thanks to ABZORB and ENCAP technologies.
