In April 2021, Aimé Leon Dore’s founder Teddy Santis was appointed as the creative director of New Balance’s ‘Made in USA’ range and now, his debut collection has finally surfaced. The new 990v3 ditches the usual suede overlays for premium leather atop the mesh base, opting for a tonal off-white 'Sea Salt' makeup enhanced by ‘Rain Cloud’ grey and reflective accents. Despite its vintage look, the yellowed soles provide modern comfort thanks to ABZORB and ENCAP technologies.

Alongside the other 990 models, the 990v3 dons a signature NB grey palette constructed from high quality mesh and suede. Tan is subtly woven into the design by way of thin overlays, leaving the only touch of color to the red branding hits at the tongue and heel.
