Nike’s fan-favorite ‘Wheat’ application arrives on the Air Griffey Max 1, an entirely new makeup for the usual leather-outfitted shoe. Ken Griffey Jr.’s signature mid-top sneaker sees the titular tone coat the premium suede uppers, accentuated by hits of white on the laces, Swoosh embroidery and his 24 jersey number detailing on the ankle strap. The midsoles follow suit, letting the visible Air bubbles and gum outsole stand out against the white.
